I beg to inform the House that the Clerk has received from the Chief Election Officer and laid upon the Table the following certificate of a by-election held in the Electoral District of Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey:

A Writ of Election dated the Sixteenth day of February, 2005, was issued by the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Ontario, and was addressed to Terry W. Sutton, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey, for the election of a Member to represent the said Electoral District of Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey in the Legislative Assembly of this Province in the room of Ernie Eves who since his election as representative of the said Electoral District of Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey hath tendered his resignation. This is to certify that, a poll having been granted and held in Dufferin-Peel-Wellington-Grey on the Seventeenth day of March, 2005, John Tory has been returned as duly elected as appears by the Return of the said Writ of Election, dated the 25th day of March, 2005, which is now lodged of record in my office.
