A debate arose on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 65, An Act to permit the Minister of Transportation to delegate to persons in the private sector powers and duties and responsibilities to deliver services relating to road user programs.

After some time, pursuant to Standing Order 9(a), the motion for the adjournment of the debate was deemed to have been made and carried.

The House then adjourned at 6:00 p.m.

That the Speaker shall recognize no further speakers from the government caucus or from the Official Opposition;

That the Speaker shall recognize up to two members of the Third Party to speak to the Second Reading stage of the bill;

That, at the conclusion of the second reading stage of the bill, the bill shall be referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Social Policy;

That, the Standing Committee on Justice and Social Policy, shall be authorized to meet in Toronto for up to two days of clause-by-clause consideration of the bill.

That G30 will be called next at Orders of the Day.

That the Speaker shall recognize no further speakers from the government caucus or from the Official Opposition;

That the Speaker shall recognize members of the Third Party to speak to the Second Reading stage of the bill;

That, at the conclusion of the second reading stage of the bill, the bill shall be referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Social Policy;

That the Standing Committee on Justice and Social Policy shall be authorized to meet in Toronto for one day of clause-by-clause consideration of the bill; and,

That, if time permits, G60 be called next at Orders of the Day.

Debate was resumed on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 86, An Act to rescue children trapped in the misery of prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation and to amend the Highway Traffic Act.

Le débat reprend sur la motion portant deuxième lecture du projet de loi 86, Loi visant à délivrer les enfants prisonniers de la prostitution et d'autres formes d'exploitation sexuelle et modifiant le Code de la route.

After some time, the motion was declared carried and the Bill was accordingly read the second time and in accordance with the Order of the House passed on October 1, 2001, the Bill was Ordered referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Social Policy.
