10.

Mr. McGuinty - Resolution - That, in the opinion of this House, the current levels of health care funding provided by both the federal and provincial governments are insufficient to properly modernize Ontario's health care services and to provide the quality care that Ontarians need and deserve; and

Be it further resolved that this House strongly condemns both the federal and provincial governments for wasting millions of health care dollars on an advertising war when this money is needed to improve and modernize Ontario's health care services; and

Be it further resolved that this House demand that any increase in federal health funding be spent entirely on health care and be applied on top of the levels of health care funding already committed to by the province. Filed on April 3, 2000.

11.

Mr. Hampton - Resolution - That, in the opinion of this House, the provincial and federal governments should reverse the funding cuts that have undermined the operational funding of Ontario's hospitals; and

That Hamilton's share of the increased health care dollars be used in such a way that the Henderson will remain a full acute care hospital with a 24-hour-a-day emergency room (along with the other three acute care hospitals) to serve the community of Hamilton Mountain and surrounding areas. Filed on April 11, 2000.

13.

Mr. Hastings - Resolution - That in the opinion of this House, the Ontario government should provide effective leadership in the development of an innovative public/private partnership with automotive companies, energy providers, financial institutions and other progressive players in the research and development and later, commercial feasibility of integrating methanol into a fuelcell technology. Filed on May 10, 2000.

15.

Mr. Beaubien - Resolution - That this House,

1. Acknowledges that only 30% of Ontario's waste diversion goal for the year 2000 has been reached so far;

2. Resolves that the Province of Ontario must commit to and embrace a diversion program which reduces the need for landfill space and garbage disposal;

3. Resolves that the Province must now employ cost-effective, modern technology, which is presently available as a progressive process to manage and dispose of waste; and

4. Urges that a more agressive objective than the present goal of 50% be established to divert waste away from landfill sites. Filed on May 17, 2000.

16.

Mrs. Elliott - Resolution - That, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario,

(c) Supports a program of mandatory treatment for welfare recipients who use drugs; and

(d) Endorses the "Blueprint" commitment to take further steps to reform welfare and encourage welfare recipients to find work. Filed on May 17, 2000.

18.

Mr. Martiniuk - Resolution - That, in the opinion of this House,

1. Uninterrupted access to extended health benefits such as dental care, eye care and prescription drugs are essential for the health of Ontario children; and

2. The Government of Ontario should move to amend and enhance the Employment Standards Act to allow all Ontario workers the option of maintaining their extended health benefit coverage for a period of up to 6 months following loss of employment to allow transition to new employment or a pension program.
