That, in the opinion of this House, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario should recognize: That the ninth day of the ninth month each year is International Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Awareness Day; and That FASD is a life-long debilitating neurological condition which is largely unrecognized and has no cure; and That individuals with FASD and their families have difficulty in society when it comes to equity, inclusion and well-being; and That there is a need for collaboration between parent groups, service providers, and educators, who are involved in the everyday challenges of those living with FASD in order to develop and implement a strategy to assist in the recognition and treatment of those directly affected by this condition. | |||||
