I beg to inform the House that, pursuant to Standing Order 71(b), the House Leader of the Official Opposition, the Member for Leeds-Grenville, has notified the Clerk of his intention to file notice of a reasoned amendment to the motion for Second Reading of Bill 212, An Act to promote good government by amending or repealing certain Acts and by enacting two new Acts.

The Order for Second Reading of Bill 212 may therefore not be called today.

That the Legislative Assembly of Ontario call upon the Premier of Ontario to appoint a Commission of Inquiry with a mandate to identify, examine and report on:

a.         whether there was any deliberate price-fixing and bid-rigging of contracts at eHealth Ontario and the eHealth program at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care;

b.         untendered contracts awarded by Management Board of Cabinet;

c.          whether Ministry officials were ordered to obstruct the Auditor General from accessing offices and records of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care; and

d.         whether there were affiliations between the Liberal Party of Ontario and persons involved in the eHealth scandal, including but not limited to former political staff in the offices of Premier McGuinty and Minister Smitherman.

A debate arising, after some time, the motion was lost on the following division:-
