Mr. Billy Pang: I nominate Ms. Goldie Ghamari as Chair of the committee.

Ms. Ghamari, do you accept the nomination?

Ms. Goldie Ghamari: Yes.

There being no further nominations, I declare the nominations closed and Ms. Ghamari elected as Chair of the committee.

Election of Vice-Chair

The Chair (Ms. Goldie Ghamari): Good afternoon, honourable members. Thank you for electing me as your Chair. I’m thrilled to be here.

It’s my duty now to entertain a motion for Vice-Chair. Are there any motions?

Mr. Sheref Sabawy: Yes, I move that—

The Chair (Ms. Goldie Ghamari): I have to recognize you first. MPP Sabawy.

Mr. Sheref Sabawy: I move that Mr. Daryl Kramp be appointed Vice-Chair of the committee.

The Chair (Ms. Goldie Ghamari): Is there any discussion? If not, all those in favour? All those opposed? All right, the motion is carried.

Appointment of subcommittee

The Chair (Ms. Goldie Ghamari): I will now entertain a motion for the replacement of a subcommittee member following a vacancy that has occurred, pursuant to the order of the House dated October 28, 2019. Are there any motions? MPP Pang.

Mr. Billy Pang: I move that Mr. Amarjot Sandhu be appointed to the subcommittee on committee business.
