Subcommittee membership

The Chair (Mr. Ted McMeekin): I call the meeting to order. I’d like to inform members that Monday afternoon’s change in committee membership has created a vacancy on this committee’s subcommittee on committee business—say that fast: committee on the subcommittee on committee business.

We need a motion for someone to replace Mr. Berardinetti as the Liberal representative on the subcommittee. Would someone like to move a motion? Lou.

Mr. Lou Rinaldi: Chair, I move that Mr. Grant Crack replace Mr. Lorenzo Berardinetti on the subcommittee on committee business.

The Chair (Mr. Ted McMeekin): Is Mr. Crack willing to accept this awesome responsibility?

Mr. Grant Crack: Thank you very much, Mr. Chair. First of all, I’d like to thank MPP Rinaldi for nominating me. I imagine a decision has to be made right away; is that correct, Mr. Chair? Or do I have time to—

Interjections.

Mr. Grant Crack: I accept.

Interjection: Do we get to vote on this, Chair?

The Chair (Mr. Ted McMeekin): Is there any debate? All those in favour? Anyone opposed?

Interjection.

The Chair (Mr. Ted McMeekin): That may be the most useful thing you do today. Who knows?

Seeing none, our next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 20, at 9 a.m., when we will start with an orientation and then begin to review the draft report on regulations made in the second half of 2016. Most of you received a copy of the draft report back in May. The Clerk has some extras if you’ve misplaced your copy.
