The Clerk of the Committee (Ms. Tanzima Khan): Good morning, honourable members. In the absence of the Chair and the Vice-Chair this morning, it is my duty to call upon you to elect an Acting Chair. Are there any nominations?

Mr. Norman Miller: I nominate MPP Burch.

The Clerk of the Committee (Ms. Tanzima Khan): Does the member accept that nomination?

Mr. Jeff Burch: I don’t think that would be prudent, Clerk. Thank you.

The Clerk of the Committee (Ms. Tanzima Khan): Okay. Seeing that the member has not accepted the nomination, are there any further nominations? All right.

Seeing that there are no further nominations—during the election of an Acting Chair, as stated in Bosc and Gagnon, when there is an impasse evident, the members must disperse and must be reconvened at a later time when an election of a Chair can be done, and that will be the first order of business at the time. If there will be no nominations this morning, this committee will now be dispersed.

All right, this committee is now adjourned and dispersed.
