Mr. Sterling – That, in the opinion of this House, the Government of Ontario must demonstrate its belief in the principle of representation by population by addressing the inequity in representation at the provincial level through the creation of an Independent Boundaries Commission to ensure Ontarians receive equal and effective representation as guaranteed in the Charter of Rights in their provincial legislature before the Government of Ontario can demand fair representation by population for Ontarians within the House of Commons.
