M. Phillips propose,

That this House recognizes that there are serious concerns about the events surrounding the shooting death of a First Nations man, Dudley George, at Ipperwash Provincial Park, in September 1995.

That the House requires that the government take the following action to ensure that the public knows the truth of these events:

· The Premier is to recommend to the Lieutenant Governor in Council that a Commission be appointed to inquire into and report on the death of Dudley George, and to make recommendations directed to the avoidance of violence in similar circumstances;

· The Commission is to be given powers under the Public Inquiries Act.
