Mme Jones propose,

Whereas certain orders made pursuant to section 7.0.2 or section 7.1 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act were continued pursuant to section 2 of the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020 (the Act); and

Attendu que certains décrets adoptés en vertu de l’article 7.0.2 ou de l’article 7.1 de la Loi sur la protection civile et la gestion des situations d’urgence ont été maintenus en vertu de l’article 2 de la Loi de 2020 sur la réouverture de l’Ontario (mesures adaptables en réponse à la COVID-19) (la « Loi »); et

Whereas, pursuant to subsection 8 (1) of the Act, the powers to amend and extend the orders would have expired on July 24, 2021, the first anniversary of the day the orders were continued by the Act, if not extended pursuant to subsection 8 (2) of the Act; and

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 8 (1) de la Loi, les pouvoirs de modification et de prorogation des décrets seraient venus à expiration le 24 juillet 2021, premier anniversaire du jour où les décrets ont été maintenus en vertu de la Loi, s’ils n’avaient pas été prorogés en application du paragraphe 8 (2) de la Loi; et

Whereas, pursuant to subsection 8 (2) of the Act, the powers to amend and extend the orders may be extended only by resolution of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario; and

Attendu que, en vertu du paragraphe 8 (2) de la Loi, les pouvoirs de modification et de prorogation des décrets ne peuvent être prorogés que par résolution de l’Assemblée législative de l’Ontario; et

Whereas on May 31, 2021, by resolution of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, the powers to amend and extend the orders were extended to the end of the day on December 1, 2021; and

Attendu que le 31 mai 2021, sur résolution de l’Assemblée législative de l’Ontario, les pouvoirs de modification et de prorogation des décrets ont été prorogés jusqu’au 1er décembre 2021 inclusivement; et

Whereas the Premier has recommended that the powers to amend and extend the orders be extended further to the end of the day on March 28, 2022;

Attendu que le premier ministre a recommandé que les pouvoirs de modification et de prorogation des décrets soient prorogés jusqu’au 28 mars 2022 inclusivement;

Therefore, the powers to amend and extend the orders referred to in subsection 8 (1) of the Act are extended until the end of the day on March 28, 2022.

Par conséquent, les pouvoirs de modification et de prorogation des décrets visés par le paragraphe 8 (1) de la Loi sont prorogés jusqu’au 28 mars 2022 inclusivement.
