That a vacancy has occurred in the membership of the House by reason of the resignation of Peter Shurman as the Member for the Electoral District of Thornhill, effective December 31, 2013. (Sessional Paper No. 237).

Accordingly, on that date, I will issue a warrant to the Chief Electoral Officer for the issue of a writ for a by-election.
