EXPLANATORY NOTE
The Bill enacts the Non-Disclosure Provisions in Agreements Act (Wind Turbines), 2018.
The Act makes void a provision in an agreement entered into on or after the day section 1 of the Act comes into force in which a party accepts valuable consideration in satisfaction of a claim arising out of the construction or operation of a wind turbine, if that provision prohibits a party from disclosing the fact that the agreement has been entered into or any other information respecting the agreement.

An Act to enact the Non-Disclosure Provisions in Agreements Act (Wind Turbines), 2018
Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:
Release re construction or operation of wind turbine
1 (1) This section applies to an agreement entered into on or after the day this section comes into force in which a party accepts valuable consideration from another party in satisfaction of any claim against that party arising out of the construction or operation of a wind turbine.
Non-disclosure provision void
(2) A provision in an agreement to which this section applies prohibiting a party from disclosing the fact that the agreement has been entered into, or any other information respecting the agreement, is void.
Commencement
2 This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Short title
3 The short title of this Act is the Non-Disclosure Provisions in Agreements Act (Wind Turbines), 2018.
