Bill 107 2017
An Act to proclaim Ontario Craft Beer Week
Preamble
Over the past decade, and with over 70 craft breweries in Ontario, the craft beer industry has grown in popularity, adding a generous boost to and becoming a major player in Ontario's alcohol beverage industry.
Ontario craft beer is handcrafted, made in small batches with lots of attention and care using locally sourced, all-natural pure ingredients with no additives or preservatives and using the brew masters' own authentic special recipes.
This Act is an instrumental way for the province to honour its long-standing partnership with and support of the Ontario Craft Brewers Association and to showcase and celebrate our province's thriving, locally-based craft beer industry.
Therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:
Ontario Craft Beer Week
1 The week commencing the second Sunday in June in each year is proclaimed as Ontario Craft Beer Week.
Commencement
2 This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Short title
