An Act to amend the
Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1. Section 79 of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 is amended by adding the following subsection:

Great Lakes Power consumers

(7) Despite anything in the regulations made under this Act to the contrary, the class of consumers comprised of consumers to whom electricity is delivered by Great Lakes Power Limited is eligible for rate protection under this section.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the Ontario Energy Board Amendment Act (Great Lakes Power Exception), 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Bill provides that consumers of electricity delivered by Great Lakes Power Limited are eligible for the rate protection referred to in section 79 of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998.
