M. Fedeli propose, | ||
Whereas, the provincial seniors population is expected to almost double from 2.3 million in 2016 to 4.6 million in 2041; and Whereas, there are currently more than 32,000 seniors on the waiting list for a long-term care bed in Ontario; and Whereas, in the absence of increased capacity, the waitlist is predicted to reach almost 50,000 by 2021; and Whereas, the Liberal government continues to fail meeting the necessary capacity; Therefore, the Legislative Assembly of Ontario calls on the Liberal government to build 15,000 new long-term care beds in five years and 30,000 over 10 years. | |||
