Mr. Walker – That, in the opinion of this House, the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services must suspend implementation of the decision to close the Owen Sound, Walkerton and Sarnia jails pending a full public review of the decision, and begin consultations with local stakeholder groups that would be adversely impacted by the closures. 3. Ms. MacCharles – That, in the opinion of this House, the Ontario Ministry of Infrastructure should explore the feasibility of supporting the Frenchman’s Bay Harbour Entrance Project in Pickering. Filed on November 23, 2011.

Ms. Horwath – That, in the opinion of this House, the Government should immediately move to implement: 1) a moratorium on the current legislated Corporate Tax reductions so that the Corporate Tax rate reductions that are scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2012 and July 1, 2013, would not take place; and 2) three separate, refundable corporate tax credits for: i. on-the-job training; ii. new hires; and iii. investment in plant and machinery. Mr. O'Toole — Enquiry of the Ministry — Would the Minister of Government Services indicate how many public servants are currently employed by the Province of Ontario and provide a list of the number of public service employees by Ministry in order to provide a benchmark for the government's plans to decrease the size of the public service five per cent by next March and seven per cent by 2014. Mr. Hillier — Enquiry of the Ministry — In Question Period on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, you stated that in regards to my concerns over the College of Trades, "anytime you want to debate that my dear friend, I will debate that here, anywhere, anytime". The Ottawa Chapter of the Ontario Electrical League has offered to host a debate between you and me on November 28, 2011. Other trade associations have also indicated their willingness to host such a debate. Will you honour your statement made in Question Period and join me for this debate regarding the College of Trades, or join me for a debate at a mutually agreed upon time. November 28, 2011.

3. Mr. Hillier — Enquiry of the Ministry — In his response to a question posed during Question Period on Wednesday, November the 23rd, the Minister stated: "Before we've even launched the College of Trades, we have this year already achieved 28,000 of 120,000. [apprenticeships]". Can the Minister provide a breakdown of how many apprenticeships have been created in each trade thus far this year. November 28, 2011.
