That, in the opinion of this House, the tenth (10th) day of December each year should be proclaimed as Ontario Human Rights Day to coincide with International Human Rights Day and in doing so, this House promises to promote an Ontario, a Canada and a world free from discrimination and hate, and safe for all persons, and affirms that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights, and are entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, without distinction of any kind, whether race, gender, gender identity, language, religion, sexual orientation, political or other opinion, culture, national or social origin, property, family, birth or any other status. |
