The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-

I beg to inform the House that I have today laid upon the Table the Report of the Integrity Commissioner, the Honourable Coulter A. Osborne, responding to the request of the Member for York West concerning Mr. Robert Runciman, MPP, Member for Leeds-Grenville (Sessional Paper No. 310).

Ordered, That, the Standing Committee on Social Policy be authorized to meet at the call of the Chair on Monday, October 30 and Tuesday, October 31, 2006 for the purpose of considering Bill 50, An Act respecting the regulation of the profession of traditional Chinese medicine, and making complementary amendments to certain Acts.

That pursuant to Standing Order 9(c)(i), the House shall meet from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, for the purpose of considering government business.

A debate arose on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 69, An Act to allow for information sharing about regulated organizations to improve efficiency in the administration and enforcement of regulatory legislation and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

After some time, pursuant to Standing Order 9, the motion for the adjournment of the debate was deemed to have been made and carried.

Après quelque temps, conformément à l'article 9 du Règlement, la motion d'ajournement du débat est réputée avoir été proposée et adoptée.

The House then adjourned at 6:00 p.m.

Debate was resumed on the motion for Second Reading of Bill 28, An Act to require the taking and analysing of blood samples to protect victims of crime, emergency service workers, good Samaritans and other persons and to make consequential amendments to the Health Care Consent Act, 1996 and the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

Le débat reprend sur la motion portant deuxième lecture du projet de loi 28, Loi exigeant le prélèvement et l'analyse d'échantillons de sang afin de protéger les victimes d'actes criminels, le personnel des services d'urgence, les bons samaritains et d'autres personnes et apportant des modifications corrélatives à la Loi de 1996 sur le consentement aux soins de santé et à la Loi sur la protection et la promotion de la santé.

After some time, the question having been put, the motion was declared carried and the Bill was accordingly read the second time and Ordered referred to the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills.

Après quelque temps, la motion, mise aux voix, est déclarée adoptée et en conséquence, ce projet de loi est lu une deuxième fois et renvoyé au Comité permanent des règlements et des projets de loi privés.

 

Mr. Bradley moved, That the House do now adjourn.
