An Act respecting Groves Memorial Community Hospital
Preamble
The Corporation of the Township of Centre Wellington and Groves Memorial Community Hospital have applied for special legislation to amend the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Act, 2002. That Act incorporated Groves Memorial Community Hospital and identified certain property being held in trust for the hospital corporation by the Township.
The applicants would like to amend the Act to transfer legal ownership of certain property from the Township to the hospital corporation as beneficial owner and for the hospital corporation to relinquish beneficial interest in certain property for the Township to assume full ownership.
It is appropriate to grant the application.
Therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:
1 Section 6 of the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Act, 2002 is repealed and the following substituted:
Interest in property
6 (1) Any interest of the Township in real or personal property that is used by or held in trust for the hospital commission immediately before this Act came into force is hereby transferred to the hospital corporation.
Exception, scheduled land
(2) Despite subsection (1) and subsections 7 (1), (2) and (3), on the day the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Act, 2022 comes into force the interest of the Township in the real or personal property referred to in section 1 of the Schedule to this Act that was used or held in trust by the Township for the hospital corporation immediately before that day is hereby transferred to the hospital corporation and the hospital corporation shall hold all legal and beneficial interest in the property.

(3) Despite subsection (1) and subsections 7 (1), (2) and (3), on the day the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Act, 2022 comes into force, the interest of the hospital corporation in the real or personal property referred to in section 2 of the Schedule to this Act that was used or held in trust by the Township for the hospital corporation immediately before that day is hereby transferred to the Township and the Township shall hold all legal and beneficial interest in the property.
2 The Schedule to the Act is repealed and the following substituted:

1 The following is the real or personal property referred to in subsection 6 (2) of the Act:
1. PIN 71394-0043, being Part 5 on Reference Plan 61R-8496 (Old Groves Hospital Property).
2. PIN 71394-0046, being Part 6 on Reference Plan 61R-8496 (Parking Lot Property), together with a right of way over Parts 7 and 11 on Reference Plan 61R-8496.
2 The following is the real or personal property referred to in subsection 6 (3) of the Act:
1. Part of PIN 71394-0032, being Parts 2, 3 and 10 on Reference Plan 61R-8496 (River Property).
2. Part of PIN 71394-0091, being Part 4 on Reference Plan 61R-8496 (Queen Street Property).
Commencement
3 This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.
Short title
4 The short title of this Act is the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Act, 2022.
