Lyn McLeod (1942- )

Lyn McLeod, MPP from 1987-2003

The first woman to lead a political party in Ontario, Ms. McLeod won the Liberal leadership in 1992. Before serving as Leader of the Official Opposition, she held three Ministry positions: Natural Resources, Energy and Colleges and Universities.

Ms. McLeod maintains a strong relationship with her northwestern Ontario community, having served on the Lakehead Board of Education, and on the Board of Governors of Lakehead University and Confederation College.
