Claudette Boyer, MPP from 1999-2003
Claudette Boyer was the first francophone woman to be elected to Ontario's Parliament. While in the Legislature, she actively advocated for Ontario's francophone communities, ensuring that they received quality treatment in the areas of health care, culture and education.
A strong promoter of the Franco-Ontarian community, she served in the francophone organizations l'Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens and l'Association canadienne d'éducation de langue française.
