The Office of the Assembly: The divisions that support Ontario’s Legislature

December 9, 2024

In 2024, the OA celebrated its 50-year anniversary.

This momentous year and the accomplishments that mark it are made possible by the collaborative work performed daily by our divisions, branches, and offices.

OA divisions in 2024:

In addition to our divisions, we have two offices: the Office of the Speaker and the Office of the Clerk.

The Speaker oversees House meetings, enforces its rules, and maintains overall order.

The Clerk is the chief permanent officer of the Assembly and has the rank of Deputy Minister.

The divisions’ continued collaboration ensures the values of the Assembly are met each day.
