Ordered, That, notwithstanding any Standing Order or Special Order of the House, when the Order for Second Reading of Bill 38, An Act to amend the Remembrance Week Act, 2016 is called, that one hour shall be allotted to debate on the motion for Second Reading of the Bill with 20 minutes allotted to the Government, 20 minutes allotted to the Official Opposition, and 20 minutes allotted to the Independent Members as a group; and At the end of this time, the Speaker shall interrupt the proceedings and shall put every question necessary to dispose of this stage of the Bill without further debate or amendment; and That the Bill shall be ordered for Third Reading, which Order may be called the same day; and That the Speaker shall immediately put the question on the motion for Third Reading without debate or amendment; and That, notwithstanding Standing Order 30(a), any division on the motions for Second or Third Reading of the Bill arising during afternoon Orders of the Day shall not be deferred. | |
