The Speaker addressed the House as follows:-
I beg to inform the House that a vacancy has occurred in the membership of the House by reason of the resignation of Cam Jackson as member of the electoral district of Burlington effective September 29,
2006.
Accordingly, I have issued my warrant to the Chief Election Officer for the issue of a writ for a by-election.
