ISSN requests can take up to ten working days to process.
We will try to accommodate rush requests as best we can.
After you submit your request, a copy of your filled-in form will be emailed to you.

If your publication won't be distributed to the public or the content will change before the next revision, you don't need an ISBN or ISSN and do not need to fill out this form. If you have any questions, please contact ISN@ola.org.
If your publication will be publicly available in one format (e.g., online) but won’t be publicly available in another format (e.g., print), you may select ‘Yes’ under the first question but only request an ISBN or ISSN for the format that will be publicly available.

For an ISBN for a revised publication*, you will need to provide the ISBN from previous editions. You can search our library catalogue for this information, if available.
*A new ISBN is assigned if there has been a change to any part of the publication. However, reprints and minor changes to a publication, such as a new cover design and typo corrections, do not require a new ISBN.
For all ISSNs, you will need to submit a PDF or Word document of the cover page, or URL linking to the cover page, for each language requested.
