Frances Lankin (1954- )
Frances Lankin's 11 years in Ontario's Parliament included time in both government and opposition. Her roles in government included Minister of Government Services, Chair of the Management Board of Cabinet, Minister of Health and Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
While in opposition, Ms. Lankin introduced a Private Member's Bill that dealt with regulating the use of patient restraints in medical facilities. The bill passed with all-party support, a rare accomplishment for a Private Member's Bill submitted by a member of the opposition third party.
