The Speaker addressed the House as follows:- I beg to inform the House that on March 31, 2006, in the name of Her Majesty the Queen, His Honour the Lieutenant Governor was pleased to Assent to the following Bills in his office:-
Bill 82, An Act to authorize the expenditure of certain amounts for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2006.			Projet de loi 82, Loi autorisant l'utilisation de certaines sommes pour l'exercice se terminant le 31 mars 2006.
Bill 85, An Act to amend the Assessment Act.			Projet de loi 85, Loi modifiant la Loi sur l'évaluation foncière.

That pursuant to Standing Order 9(c)(i), the House shall meet from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2006, for the purpose of considering government business.

The Speaker delivered the following ruling:- On Wednesday, March 29, the Member for Haldimand-Norfolk-Brant, Mr. Barrett, provided me with written notice of his intention to raise a point of privilege, as required by Standing Order 21(c). I would like to thank the Member for giving me sufficient time to review this matter. The Member's point of privilege concerns security in and around the Legislative Precinct. I wish to advise that I will be deciding on this matter without further hearing directly from the Member at this time, as Standing Order 21(d) permits me to do. I have carefully reviewed the Member's written submission and cannot find that he has made out a prima facie case of privilege.
I want to note that the Member and I have met personally to discuss this matter, and I have written to the Member to provide clarification on certain points related to the issues he has raised. As this is a matter that lies within the administrative jurisdiction of the Speaker, I believe this is the appropriate way to deal with this issue, and I thank the Member for providing this opportunity to do so.

After some time, pursuant to Standing Order 9, the motion for the adjournment of the debate was deemed to have been made and carried.			Après quelque temps, conformément à l'article 9 du Règlement, la motion d'ajournement du débat est réputée avoir été proposée et adoptée.

After some time, the amendment to the motion having been put, the Acting Speaker (Mr. Prue) declared his opinion that the Nays had it, and a recorded vote having been demanded,			Après quelque temps, l'amendement à la motion mis aux voix, le Président par intérim, M. Prue déclare qu'à son avis les voix opposées l'emportent et un vote par appel nominal a été demandé.
With unanimous consent, the vote was deferred until Tuesday, April 4, 2006.			Avec le consentement unanime, le vote soit différé jusqu'au mardi 4 avril 2006.
